Dream A Little Dream
Dream A Little Dream
What is life but a series of dreams? When we take a closer look at the “Dream” we may discover that it is as ancient wisdom teaches, the “Dream” is the story that has been passed down. Webster defines the “Dream” as “creation of the imagination” or to consider as a possibility, a state of mind marked by release from reality. What is your reality? Ancient wisdom teaches us also that we are awake living within that dream. The great news is that simply put, the “dream” of our reality is one that we create and we can switch out the state through which we participate at any point within that dream. Our reality is not the story that has been passed down but rather the dream through which we choose to have a lens. If your dream says you’re angry because you don’t like your job or you’re fearful of making a change, take a look at where your dream began. Maybe someone said to you, “you can’t change careers at your age” or “I am just like my dad, “I have a hard time making the change” Those were stories handed down, and we tend to allow those stories to narrate our lives. Think about where you exist within your dream, what is the truth, not a truth that was true for someone else at some other point in history. History does not have to be your destiny. Our dream can be visualized in all areas of our lives. If a doctor says statistically speaking “this is your prognosis” you go back to the time within the dream before the illness and see yourself as the healthy person you are “not were.” Unhappy in a relationship, go back within the dream to a time before you were unhappy and exist in that state again and watch your dream of unhappiness start to change to a dream state of more joy.
Too often we buy into the illusion that blocks our power to dream the dream. If you’re stuck, take a good look at where or by whom your dream is being defined. What are the stories that have filtered into your dream? Consider what it would be like to live in the dream that is the reality you wish to manifest. Set your vision and then get to work on nurturing that vision opening up to new possibilities. Live within that dream, you and only you in all your perfectness determine the path by which your dream blooms and becomes your beautiful reality.
