Angelic Beings

Most of us have seen the classic Christmas story with Jimmy Stewart, It’s A Wonderful Life, and if you haven’t, you’ve missed out and I recommend making a point of it next holiday season. In this movie, Clarence earns his angel wings by helping out Stewart’s character. I am not really sure how angels earn their wings or if indeed they actually even have wings, but It is my belief that their presence is real, and if we stop for a moment and think about it, I would bet most of us could recall however ssibtle an angel encounter at some point in our lifetime.

The word angel is thought to be derived from the Greek word “Angelos” which means “Messenger”. Throughout human history, the acknowledgment of angels transcends our belief differences as we can see, they are a construct in most, if not all, belief systems. We want to believe that we can count on these loving assistants, or is it that we’ve been gifted with the pure knowing that they are there to assist us throughout this human journey?

Once I misplaced my wedding ring and, for a solid week, couldn’t find it. Tearing apart my house, I had given up and thought that it was gone forever when one day literally out of the blue, a sparkle catches my eye, and I looked down to discover my ring as clear as can be sitting fully exposed on our coffee table. Have you ever really needed guidance about something, and you ponder when suddenly the answer becomes obvious? What about you’re lost, and your guidance system says you don’t go down that road, and you follow the instinct in the opposite direction, and it turns out to be correct and even potentially out of harm’s way? I’ve asked for parking spots, confidence when necessary, asking for protection for loved ones. And what about our animals? My theory here is that there is some work being done through them; animals bring such love and comfort definitely from a higher vibration.

Listen, none of us really know exactly, whether they are furry, or how angels earn their wings, but what I can share with you is that my personal relationship with the angels isn’t a mystical, magical, process it’s a casual, reliable, steady connection that I have come to experience and as a result have come to believe fully in their good. I nurture my relationship with them and have come to appreciate the value of knowing them as a faithful Ally.

Working with your angels.

1. Be open to asking but even more be open to receiving

2. Know that you don’t have to earn their guidance it’s already there for you. Be open to the casualness and nurturing of your relationship.

3. See them as your ally and their direction as a beautiful gift.

4. Sit quietly for a second and ask them to come to you.

5. Letting go of anxiousness, or fear about the process.

6.Ask specifically for what it is you need big or small and thank them.

7. Let go of the need to control, of looking for the answers.

8. Know that it is clear to them so that you can direct your energies toward moving forward. ( This is that shift into receiving )

9. Remain open to the baby steps that may start to present.

10. If you’re not seeing it manifest, ask what it is that you need to know to remove any blocks and let them go.

You don’t have to be of religion or a mystic to engage in the belief of angels. I encourage you to engage in welcoming in your guided messenger. We would likely all agree that all of humanity can always use more guidance and benevolence.

Much love,
XO Donna
