Thumping Your Way To A Healthier Immune System

Hi Friends,
I hope you all are staying well and staying put by now with the covid-19 as I have come to compassionately call her “Rona” Sending her so much love that she just might do an about-face and head on out to oblivion. One can always hope!!

Nicole and I made it home safely and uneventfully home from Scotland and are starting day four of our quarantine at her house. Collectively the world is experiencing a huge shift and I am hopeful that we can all get through it together with the very best outcome. Any scheduled appointments for the next two weeks will, unfortunately, have to be canceled and we will reassess going forward.

This week I thought that I would bring to you some daily immune-boosting energy meridian thumping I have incorporated thumping several times throughout my day now for several years. I’ll be driving, cooking, talking on the phone, in the shower, really whenever or wherever I may think about doing it. The sequence is super easy and worth the while to consider bringing it in as a simple new daily health habit.

Modern research had provided ample proof that acupuncture meridians are visceral. Research provides several techniques for validation, including MRI, Infrared imaging, ultrasound as well as other CT imaging methods. The meridian pathways are the energy highways so to speak that run throughout the entire body. Research shows at meridian acupuncture points there is a density of microvascular vessels. This energy meridians serve to provide the necessary electrical flow to the body systems. The theory behind thumping flow into certain systems is to keep that system well charged and the necessary free flow of energy to that body systems. Kind of like with the circulatory system, we don’t want anything impeding the beneficial flow. The meridians lay deep under the skin's surface so when thumping we want a healthy thump, not just a gentle tap. The following meridian thumping points are working with the immune system and the whole sequence should take not more than a minute.

1. Thumping below the eyes is the stomach meridian. This meridian is important because runs through all of the others. It not only charges all of the meridian systems but is a fear tapping point so a good one for what we are all experiencing currently.

2. The next point is the K27 kidney meridian point. The kidneys also know as “The root of life” regarded as the body’s most important reservoir of essential energy a key immune function point and also runs throughout the others.

3. The Thymus thump, also known as the happiness point. No wonder Tarzan pounded his thymus before he launched onto a swinging vine! Thymus Greek for “thymos” meaning “life energy” lies just beneath the upper part of the breastbone in the middle of the chest. It’s in charge of keeping your energy vibrating at a high frequency. The thymus gland regulates the body's vital energy flow and plays a vital role in the development of T-lymphocytes, white blood cells important for fighting off infection. Did you know that the thymus gland starts to shrink after puberty, so get to thumping! If you were to only (but don't) thump one, this is the one!

4. The fourth spot is the spleen meridian. The spleen acts as a filter for the blood as a part of the immune system. Old red blood cells are recycled in the spleen. The spleen helps fight certain kinds of bacteria that cause pneumonia and meningitis.

Thumping on these four points aids in assuring your body’s immune system is as strongly charged as it can be. Get to thumping and stay well my dear friends.

Much love to you and yours!
Donna
